HISTORY

In 1971, Mr. Ahad Khan’s family relocated from Byculla to Jogeshwari. During that period, Jogeshwari was primarily characterized by vast expanses of grasslands, lacking essential infrastructure and opportunities. His father engaged in cattle farming & agricultural work upon their arrival.

Following the completion of his education, Mr. Abdul Ahad Khan embarked on his professional journey by establishing small-scale industries. With the success of these ventures by 2004, he ventured into the construction sector, founding Gajanan Builder with the aim of enhancing the quality of life in Jogeshwari’s ghass compound.

Observing the absence of English Medium schools in Jogeshwari and the difficulty in securing admission elsewhere, Mr. Abdul Ahad Khan prioritized the education sector. He established the H.M.W. English Medium High School (Haji Munshi Wajid Ali) and subsequently the K.H.M.W. Junior and Degree College (Khairunnisa Haji Munshi Wajid Ali ), both named in honor of his parents.

Expanding his endeavours, Mr. Abdul Ahad Khan also ventured into the petroleum industry, establishing petrol pumps in Mumbai, Thane, and Uttar Pradesh.

Through his unwavering dedication, Jogeshwari has undergone a transformation, evolving into a hub of educational, employment, and business opportunities. Mr. Abdul Ahad Khan’s exemplary commitment to social service has been consistently laudable, as he continues to tirelessly advocate compassion and effect positive change within society. His significant contributions to societal upliftment are deeply valued and appreciated.
